Welcome to Stiff Paper ("we", "our", "us"). These Terms of Service govern your use of our website at stiffpaper.co.uk and our personalised greeting card creation and printing services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. AI-Generated Content

Our service uses artificial intelligence technology to generate greeting card designs based on your input. By using our service, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Card designs are generated using AI image generation technology and are unique creations based on your prompts and preferences.
• The copyright status of AI-generated images is currently uncertain under UK and international law. We make no guarantees regarding exclusive ownership or copyright of generated designs.
• You are granted a non-exclusive license to use the generated designs for personal, non-commercial purposes including printing and gifting the physical cards.
• We do not guarantee that AI-generated images will be free from unintentional similarities to existing copyrighted works.
• You agree not to use our service to intentionally generate content that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use our service to create content that:

• Is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
• Infringes on intellectual property rights of others, including trademarks, copyrights, or patents
• Depicts trademarked characters, logos, or brand imagery without authorisation
• Contains explicit, adult, or inappropriate content
• Promotes hate speech, discrimination, or violence
• Impersonates any person or entity

We reserve the right to refuse service, remove content, or cancel orders that violate these terms.

4. Orders and Payment

When you place an order through our service:

• All prices are displayed in GBP (British Pounds) and include VAT where applicable.
• Payment is processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.
• Orders are processed and printed by our third-party print partner, Prodigi.
• Delivery times are estimates and may vary. We are not liable for delays caused by postal services or circumstances beyond our control.
• You are responsible for providing accurate delivery information. We cannot be held responsible for orders delivered to incorrect addresses due to customer error.

5. Refunds and Returns

Due to the personalised nature of our products:

• We do not offer refunds for change of mind or dissatisfaction with AI-generated designs that were approved at checkout.
• If your order arrives damaged or with print defects, please contact us within 14 days with photographic evidence and we will arrange a replacement or refund.
• If your order does not arrive within 21 business days (UK) or 35 business days (international), please contact us and we will investigate with our print partner.

6. Intellectual Property

The Stiff Paper name, logo, website design, and branding are our intellectual property and may not be used without our written permission. The AI technology used to generate card designs is provided by third-party services and is subject to their respective terms of use.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stiff Paper shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our service. Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of our service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific order in question.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. Your continued use of our service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

9. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
